COBRApoint Hires Deloitte & Touche for SAS 70 Review
Omaha, NE -- January 28, 2005 – COBRApoint hires Deloitte & Touche to conduct a Statement of Accounting Standard No. 70 (SAS 70) Type II Review. SAS 70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) that demonstrates that a service provider has adequate controls and safeguards when they host or process data belonging to their customers.
COBRApoint will go through an in-depth audit of its procedures and general controls. The systems and processes evaluated will include security monitoring, change management, problem management, back up and environmental controls, local and physical access.
SAS 70 will verify, that client information is safeguarded against loss and databases are protected from disaster, fraud and tampering. Clients of COBRApoint will have the benefit of receiving detailed description of the company’s controls, including an independent assessment of design, placement and efficiency.
